Albanian AI bot ‘pregnant with 83 children’

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama announced that the minister of artificial intelligence (AI) is “pregnant with 83 children.”

Mr Rama said Diella, who was appointed to fight corruption and promote transparency and innovation in the Prime Minister’s cabinet, would soon “give birth” to children.

They will help members of parliament carry out their duties.

The small robots’ duties include attending parliamentary sessions, keeping records, informing MPs on how to react and summarizing debates.

Speaking in Berlin, Mr Rama said: “Diella is pregnant and expecting 83 children. Each child will serve as an assistant to MPs for a member of our parliament and will attend parliamentary sessions. This will keep a record of everything that is happening, inform MPs and suggest how they should react.”

“This will have all the information about the EU, EU legislation and everything. And when you go for a coffee and you come back, this kid will tell you what was said when you weren’t there.

“And it will tell you if your name is being mentioned and if you should strike back at someone who is mentioning you for the wrong reasons.”

Diella was initially appointed to fight corruption and promote transparency and innovation in Rama’s cabinet.
