Addenbrooke’s Hospital fire LIVE: Huge multi-vehicle blaze at Cambridge car park | World | News

Cambridgeshire Police said: “Access is currently restricted due to a fire in/around Addenbrookes Hospital Car Park 1. There are road closures including Robinson Way, Puddicombe Way, Adrian Way, Richard Howe Way. Please avoid this area if possible.”

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “We are currently responding to a multi-vehicle fire on the second floor of the car park at Addenbrooke’s Hospital. More than 30 firefighters, including neighboring fire and rescue services, are at the scene and other specialist vehicles are also at the scene.

“Teams are working hard to control the fire and prevent it from spreading.

“Please avoid the area and find alternative routes while we deal with this incident.

“It is not thought there are any injuries at this time.

“UPDATE 18:15 – Firefighters are making good progress. Crews will be on scene throughout the evening and night to continue to extinguish the fire and moisten the area. Road closures at the site remain.”

East of England Ambulance Service said: “#EEAST is currently at this incident at Addenbrookes Hospital. There are no reports of casualties at this time but we are attending the incident to support our fire and rescue colleagues.”
