Municipal Polls: Cong Appoints Observers

Hyderabad: Congress on Monday appointed 17 leaders as observers in eight of the 11 municipalities where indirect voting was postponed. No observers were appointed for the votes held in Yellandu, Sultanabad and Dornakal civil institutions.

MP R. Raghuram Reddy and MLAs N. Rajender Reddy and KR Nagaraju have been appointed to the controversial Thorrur civic body. Government Whip Beerla Ilaiah and MLA Gandra Satyanarayana will oversee the process in Jangaon and MLAs Balu Naik and Veerlapalli Shankar will oversee the process in Ibrahimpatnam.

Minister Ponnam Prabhakar and MLA Kavvampalli Satyanarayana were appointed to Kyathanpally; Government Whip Aadi Srinivas and MLA Bhoopathi Reddy for Khanapur and MLAs P. Rammohan Reddy and Ganesh for Indresham.

Government advisor P. Sudarshan Reddy and MLA K Premsagar Rao have been posted as observers in Kagaznagar and minister Md Azharuddin and MLA Sanjeeva Reddy have been posted in Zaheerabad.
