He later added: “We’ve got a guy in Washington D.C. who thinks he’ll take full advantage of being in charge. We’re going to fight it. We’re going to fight it tooth and nail.”

Earlier Saturday, Sherrill attended a rally alongside Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-N.J.), both of whom criticized the Trump administration and New Jersey Republican gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli.
“We are facing a president who thinks he can barge into any state in America, including ours, and do whatever he wants,” Gottheimer said, adding that Sherrill “will stand up to Donald Trump and fight for us.”

Whitmer also went after the Trump administration and Ciattarelli, claiming the Republican gubernatorial candidate “doesn’t care about actually doing the job.” The Michigan governor added that if Ciattarelli is elected, he will “take his orders from the people in Washington, DC.”
“At the last debate, he said he agreed with everything the administration did. It’s like you all agreeing that someone from Philly makes better Taylor ham and cheese,” Whitmer joked, recalling the Garden State’s iconic sandwich.
Sherrill later accused Trump of “participating in a worldwide blackmail racket that the president is waging to put billions of dollars in cryptocurrency into his own pocket.”
Additionally, the New Jersey Democrat implied that Americans were better off under former President Joe Biden, saying employers last year tried to expand their workforces and now workers are struggling to find jobs.
