Crisafulli slams ‘flawed’ BoM website in storm aftermath
Queensland Premier David Crisafulli has accused the “flawed” new weather bureau website of failing to allow south-east residents to prepare for serious storms over the weekend.
The system ripped through Brisbane and surrounding areas on Sunday, leaving more than 100,000 homes without power. destructive winds and large hail.
Speaking in state parliament, Crisafulli said Queenslanders were resilient but “preparation is key” and preparation depends on the information they have.
“The changes to the federally run Bureau of Meteorology website are not good enough,” he said in a statement on Tuesday morning.
“The changes made to the website do not make sense. The website is faulty.”

“The color scheme we are used to has changed and Canberra stereotypes will not serve Queenslanders.”
Following objections from Labor opposition benches, Crisafulli accused them of “protecting their fellow Laborers in Canberra rather than protecting people with good information”.
