Tributes paid to ‘incredible’ mother-of-two killed in Swindon

Tributes have been paid to the “selfless” mother-of-two who was found dead at a property in Swindon after a 13-year-old girl was arrested on suspicion of murder.

Sarah Forrester, 55, was described as an “incredible human being” by colleagues after she was found unconscious following an illness at an address in Baydon Close on Friday evening.

A statement from the Kelly Foundation, the mental health charity for which Ms Forrester worked, said everyone was “heartbroken at the sudden loss of our beloved Sarah”.

“She was completely devoted to her charity and devoted to her two young children,” the charity said.

“Sarah played a pivotal role in our work at the Kelly Foundation and her loss is an extremely traumatic event, not only for us and her colleagues, but especially for her children and family.

“Sarah was an incredible person, kind, thoughtful, considerate, compassionate and fun, and she embodied everything we hope our philanthropy is and can be.”

Speaking to Sky News, Ms Forrester’s neighbour, Kerry Marsh, said: “Sarah was a good friend of mine. She was a kind person who would help anyone.

“She was a wonderful mother and did so much with her children, and I was lucky enough to have her as a friend.”

On Sunday, Wiltshire Police said the teenager had been released on bail while investigations continued. He said there was no wider risk to the public and police were not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.

Detective Chief Superintendent Guy Elkins said: “Our thoughts are with Sarah’s friends and family at this terrible time. An investigation into her death is being carried out by our Major Crime Investigation Team and local residents will continue to see increased police activity in the area.”

“A 13-year-old girl arrested on suspicion of murder has been released on bail and I can confirm we are not looking for anyone else in connection with Sarah’s death.

“We continue to urge people not to speculate about the incident. We encourage anyone with concerns to speak to their local Neighborhood Policing Team by emailing or reaching out to our officers in person.”
