Cops release shocking first bodycam footage of Tiger Woods being arrested after DUI
A dazed Tiger Woods can be seen kneeling on the side of the road in remarkable body camera footage from his drunken driving arrest in Florida on Friday.
Woods, 50, rolled his SUV in an attempt to overtake a vehicle at high speed on Jupiter Island before cops found two pills in his pocket and put him behind bars.
The arrest affidavit, in which cops revealed the golf legend was lethargic, sweaty and unsteady when they reached him, was released on Wednesday and now footage of the moment has emerged.
In the clip recorded with the arresting officer’s body camera, Woods can be heard explaining how the accident occurred.
‘I looked at my phone and suddenly… boom!’ Woods told the officer about the moment the pressure washer broke the back of his trailer and rolled his Range Rover onto its side.
He was kneeling on the edge of the grass as medical checks were carried out on him and a police officer asked: “Are you comfortable with this?” he can be heard asking. To which the police officer replies, “Yes, yes.”
The officer then turns away from the golfer and points to his overturned vehicle and the driver of the truck and trailer being questioned by a different officer on a usually quiet Jupiter Island street.
Other body camera footage shared Thursday by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office showed the 15-time champion briefly falling asleep in the back of a police car while being driven to jail.
