Memphis man wanted for rape of 9-month-old captured in Jackson

A Memphis man reportedly wanted for raping an infant was arrested in Jackson, Tennessee.
According to the Jackson Police Department, 27-year-old Isaiah Hayes was taken into custody Friday morning. The Jackson Police Department says Hayes was arrested in connection with the aggravated rape of a 9-month-old baby.
The police department alleges that Hayes is wanted on “numerous serious charges,” including sexual abuse, rape of a child and conspiracy to commit aggravated rape of a child.

The Jackson Police Department reportedly used Flock Safety technology to locate a vehicle linked to Hayes. Jackson Police say investigators and agents with the U.S. Marshals Service found Hayes hiding in an apartment in the Lincoln Courts housing complex.
Police stated that Hayes was taken into custody without further incident. Hayes remains in custody at the Madison County jail and will be extradited to Shelby County.
