Footage shows Henry Nowak killer Vickrum Digwa ‘holding firearm’ years before stabbing
Newly revealed footage shows Henry Nowak’s killer, Vickrum Digwa, using a gun that resembles an air gun three years before killing the student.
The video, shot by Digwa’s neighbor in 2022, shows Digwa brandishing the firearm while another man fires a bullet into a wooden plank in the backyard of his Southampton property.
The neighbor told Sun He shot the clip early on October 18, 2022, after hearing “loud gunshots.”
“We could hear the gunshots and it was really loud,” he said. “When we went to look, we saw that they were shooting a gun at a wooden plank.” He said he reported the situation to the police but was told nothing could be done.
In the United Kingdom, air rifles under certain power and weight limits do not require a firearms license and are legal for use on private property.
Hampshire Police told Sun They were unable to find a report of the incident but confirmed that an air gun was found during a search of Digwa’s property following Nowak’s murder.
The incident occurred three years before Digwa, now 23, stabbed 18-year-old Nowak to death in December.

Digwa falsely told police that he was the victim of a racist attack by Nowak, who died in police custody.
He was later sentenced to at least 21 years in prison for stabbing Nowak with a 21cm ceremonial knife he claimed he carried as part of his Sikh faith.
The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) is investigating Hampshire Police’s response to the Nowak case.
His family later called for his death “not to be used to create further division, hatred or tension”, but the police’s treatment of the student sparked a political debate.
Upon the reaction of the police, a criminal complaint was filed against at least 20 people following the protests, which resulted in 11 police officers being injured due to garbage cans and chairs thrown at them.
Sir Keir Starmer called on politicians to heed calls from the teenager’s relatives not to use the case “to cause mayhem”, while Reform England leader Nigel Farage was criticized for saying people should respond with “pure, cold anger”.
On Friday, US vice president J.D. Vance said there should be “righteous outrage” in response to Nowak’s murder, which he attributed in part to a “mass invasion of immigrants.” The killer was born and raised in Britain.
His comments triggered a response from Downing Street, which criticized “people trying to interfere with our democracy and foment division on our streets”.
