PM Modi Hosts Dinner for NDA MPs, Vows to Work Together to Strengthen India’s Development Journey

New Delhi (PTI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted a dinner for MPs from National Democratic Alliance (NDA) constituents at his residence here on Thursday and vowed to work together to strengthen India’s development journey “The NDA family represents a common commitment towards good governance, national development and regional goals.”

“Together, we will continue to work to strengthen our nation’s development journey in the years to come,” Modi said.

The MPs together went to Modi’s house at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg by bus.

The Prime Minister’s dinner came in the wake of the NDA’s landslide victory in the recent Bihar elections in which the coalition secured 202 seats in the 243-member state assembly.

Among alliance partners, BJP won 89 seats, JD(U) 85, LJP (Ram Vilas) 19, Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) five and Rashtriya Lok Morcha four.

Bihar’s NDA leaders on Monday congratulated the chief minister on the coalition’s massive victory in the state. Modi told them that they should work with greater diligence for the welfare of the people and said, “With great victory comes great responsibility.”

At the NDA parliamentary party meeting on Tuesday, the prime minister said India is now in a full-fledged “reform express” phase where reforms are happening quickly and with clear intent.

Modi emphasized that the government’s reforms are not just economic or income-oriented, but entirely citizen-oriented, and that the aim is to eliminate everyday obstacles so that people can reach their full potential.
