CFSL submits Zubeen Garg’s viscera report to SIT investigating singer’s death

Tawang: : Central Forensic Science Laboratory has sent Zubeen Garg’s viscera report to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigating the death of iconic singer Zubeen Garg.

SIT chief Munna Prasad Gupta said the SIT has already submitted the report to Gauhati Medical College and hospital.

He said that the expert committee constituted at GMCH will consider the visceral report along with the second autopsy reports of Zubeen Garg before taking its final decision.
“I cannot make any comment on the visceral report. We will submit it to the court after receiving the final report from GMCH,” the SIT Chief said.

The SIT Chief also revealed that the SIT team has not traveled to Singapore so far due to some legal and technical issues. “We cannot go to Singapore to conduct the investigation. We forwarded the request to the Singapore Attorney General’s Office through our Ministry of Internal Affairs. Our requests are being evaluated in Singapore.” He added that police had issued summonses to 11 Singaporeans who were on the yacht with Zubeen Garg to appear before investigators and give statements.

“One of them recently testified before investigators, the rest need to come as well. There are ways and means to interrogate them and we will do whatever it takes to bring them here for interrogation,” he added.
