Carnival Cruise passengers brawl in port in horrific scenes caught on camera | US | News

The footage captured the moment passengers attacked each other at 8 a.m. on Monday, June 22, after the Carnival Conquest ship docked in Miami, Florida, following a trip to the Bahamas.
Allegedly, two women started the fight. One, wearing a black strapless dress, leaned under a divider and began swinging at another woman wearing polka-dot pajamas.
Another woman, wearing a yellow and white maxi dress, then joined the fight and grabbed one of the women’s hair.
As U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers tried to break up the fight, several men and women joined the fray.
Suitcases and personal belongings were scattered around during the chaotic scene. At one point, a man was seen holding a pole above his head as people screamed.
The fight ended a few minutes later.
It is not yet known what caused the fight between the two families.
Since neither party decided to press charges, no one was arrested.
As a result of the fight, 16 people were placed on Carnival Cruise Lines’ “Do Not Sail List,” a company spokesperson told the Daily Mail.
“The incident occurred in the disembarkation area under the jurisdiction of U.S. Customs and Border Patrol. [sic]” said the company.
“We appreciate law enforcement’s quick response and handling of the matter. We do not tolerate this type of behavior.”
The incident comes several months after a fight aboard another Carnival cruise ship in which two women were accused of slapping each other as the ship returned from Nassau, Bahamas, to Mobile, Alabama.
Both women were facing charges in federal court for simple assault and appeared in court in early May.
US magistrate judge Bert Milling Jr told the women their cases would be dismissed if they were not arrested or contacted each other for three months, Fox 10 reported.
The final decision on this case is scheduled for August 12.
