A manhunt is still ongoing for the suspect in this weekend’s mass shooting in Stockton, California, that left four people dead, including three children. Police said there was likely more than one attacker.
The FBI is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspect. Those killed in Saturday’s shooting were ages 8, 9, 14 and 21. They were attending a 2-year-old child’s birthday party, and attendees said the group was gathered around the cake when the gunfire started.
“When we got ready to cut the cake, everyone gathered around and started cutting the cake and all we heard were gunshots. Everyone dove to the floor. It was unexpected. I don’t know what happened. I was so shocked, I was lost and speechless,” said Patrice Williams, who organized the party for her daughter.
“I want to say I’m sorry to all the mothers who lost their children at my birthday party,” she added.

Sheriff Patrick Withrow of the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to the media on Monday that “there appeared to be more than one shooter,” but authorities have not publicly identified any suspects.
“They deserve to go to jail. They deserve to go to hell,” Williams said. “I’m sorry, but I just… this isn’t respectful. It’s a children’s party.”
