Telangana Govt to File Review Petition in SC Against TET for In-Service Teachers

Haydarabad: The Telangana government will submit a petition against the Supreme Court’s decision against the September 1 decision, which will make it compulsory for all teachers who deal with the teacher classes with 1 to 8. The state will ask for exemption for teachers hired before 2011, official sources confirmed on Tuesday.
The movement comes after a strong representation from teacher MLCs and trade unions, including Prime Minister A. Revanth Redy, and inviting them to intervene, including the MLCs and trade unions, including the Federation of the Federation of Ranked Teachers (PRTU) and the United Teachers Federation (UTF).
Uttar Pradesh said that states such as Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu have already announced their plans to object to the decision. Mr. Redy, who also holds his education portfolio, was sure that TaLangana’s petition would be opened before the end of the month.
The Supreme Court’s decision requires all teachers to remain in service within two years, except for those who have less than five years of service before retirement. Approximately a Lakh teacher in TaLangana is likely to be influenced. Without the TET certificate, they would not be suitable for promotion, and it may cost them to work.
The union leaders argued that the decision was unfairly punished by the personnel serving for a long time. “For more than a decade, these teachers have been exempted. Imposing TET is demoralizing,” they said, the 2010 NCTE notification made TET only for new recruitment and state orders in 2011 and 2015 support this exemption.
He also warned that the rule could worsen the shortage of teachers and stop long -term promotions. Union representatives, “Instead of focusing on students, high -level teachers will have to prepare for an exam for them,” he said.
The Emir is valid for schools, assistant and non -private schools, and its applicability to minority institutions has been directed to a Constitutional Bank.
The teachers also applied to the Minister of Union G. Kishan Redi and the Union Education Minister Dhandra Pradhan to help. Kishan Redy, who responded to his allegations, was sure that he would take the issue with the center.
