Charlie Kirk died as he lived: Bold, unashamed and anchored in faith

On September 10, America lost a fighter and a family lost their father.

Charlie Kirk, my brother, a man whose feet were stood tightly and standing for a long time with a microphone in his hand, was taken from us at Utah Valley University while declaring the truth. He didn’t run. He didn’t make an order. He didn’t run. He died as a brave, determined and embarrassing while he was experiencing the gospel and the truth.

When America needed a hero, God sent us Charlie Kirk. There is no youth movement without Charlie, President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance. But no matter how big Charlie was, it was always kind and generous for everyone. Every time he listened to the person who wanted to talk, he would make anyone feel like someone.

The Book of the Ambassadors says that Stephen was stoned because he spoke the truth. While Stephen raised his eyes to heaven, he saw Christ standing to get him. I believe Charlie has the same vision. He was not afraid of man, because he was afraid of God alone.

Last year, Charlie lost her voice before a university event in Penn State. He texted me and said, “Jack, the kids are waiting and I can’t disappoint them.” He said. I said to him, “I’m on my way.” I jumped a flight and closed our Penn State speakers the next day, so I bought a Bullhorn and threw a hat to thousands of students. Then I never forgot how it looked and said, “God bless you.”

Charlie lived with this. He believed in the glory of every effort, every word, and God’s glory at any moment.

Charlie Kirk, the proud champion of Christianity on campuses around the country: ‘I am nothing without Jesus’

Charlie was a prayer man behind the cameras. In order to ask for the guidance of the Lord, we had nights, not only strategy, but by bending our heads. He would send me verses in strange hours, reminding me that “the joy of the Lord is our power” (Nehemia 8:10). Charlie was wearing politics like armor, but his true weapon was the sword of the soul, the word of God.

Charlie Kirk was a father. He was a creator. He was a builder. He was a leader and one of my best friends. Only Turning Point built the United States, not from anything, but an faithful household for Erika and two valuable children. Christ modeled what a man loves his wife because he loved the church. This example may be his greatest legacy.

He knew the threats. After the Butler, I talked to him about the possibility of danger and death. But he wouldn’t stop.

Charlie died of fighting even if a question was asked about violence and chaos in our country. The last public action was to talk to the storm with courage and clarity. Charlie Kirk is a martyr.

“Big love, there’s no more people than that, a man left his life for his friends.”

31 Charlie Kirk in the short year lived for 10 lifetime. He’s never still sitting. Charlie Kirk lived a life worth living.

I feel sorry for Erika and her children. I feel sorry for his family, family, numerous friends. But I don’t worry about mourning the world, because I know Charlie is alive in Christ. Jesus told us, “I am the resurrection and my life. Even though he dies, but he will live.” He said. Charlie believed in every fiber of his presence. Now he sees the truth face to face.

Charlie Kirk was a conservative firefighter to the world. To me, he was a brother, a soldier and the servant of God. Charlie pressed forward, anchored in Christ, trusted the promise that perfect love eliminated fear.

So let’s honor him as he lived. With courage, faith and prayer. The same god, who calls Charlie Home, will erase every tear from our eyes one day. Until then, we take the poster he carries, we carry the cross he carries, and we continue to walk forward in the light of the Messiah and the love of the nation.

God bless you, Charlie. I will tell your children who you are. You fought the fight. You died next to the boots. Now I know you’re in the presence of the king.

Until I meet again, brother.
