Detroit synagogue active shooter still on loose after crashing into America’s largest synagogue, as cops warn there may be MULTIPLE assailants

The gunman who opened fire after a car crashed into a synagogue in Michigan is still at large, police warned.
Michigan State Police confirmed the suspect crashed a vehicle into Temple Israel in West Bloomfield Township, then opened fire inside.
The attacker remains at large and police are working to determine whether other attackers were involved.
“We’re looking to see if there’s more than one person involved,” Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard told reporters. There were no confirmed deaths or injuries, the official added.
‘We do not keep that person in custody. It’s a work in progress, so we’re hiding in there until we figure it out. ‘It’s a large facility with lots of land around it.’
Sheriff Bouchard said security inside the synagogue ‘triggered the threat’. All teachers and children at the early childhood center are safe and accounted for.

Many police vehicles, SWAT teams and bomb disposal teams responded to the scene.
The synagogue is a reformist Jewish house of worship with a kindergarten attached to it. It has one of the largest congregations in the country and was open at the time.
A woman named Lisa, speaking to WDIV, said the preschool was in use at the time.
He told the press: ‘I’m scared to death for my friends, I’ve never seen anything like this before. The first thing that came to my mind was children.
Officers responded to the synagogue seen here on Thursday with smoke coming from the roof and side door.
Dozens of police cars are seen at the scene
The synagogue is a reform Jewish house of worship with an attached kindergarten.
‘Parents and grandparents come and they’re scared to death for their kids. ‘This doesn’t make sense, this isn’t right.’
As he spoke, several adults could be seen tearfully hugging each other in front of the police line.
State Police said: ‘Michigan State Police are aware of an active shooting incident in progress in West Bloomfield.
‘We are asking community members to avoid the area to allow police intervention. Soldiers are also increasing the number of patrols in other places of worship in the region.’
West Bloomfield School District said: ‘We were alerted by the West Bloomfield Police Department to a police situation in the community.’
The Jewish Federation of Detroit said: ‘We are aware of an active security incident at Temple Israel. Police forces are responding.
‘Our Jewish organizations are currently under precautionary isolation. ‘We are asking community members to avoid the area at this time.’
FBI Director Kash Patel said bureau personnel were at the scene to assist with the investigation.
