President Donald Trump’s new comments about the potential candidates to replace Jerome Powell as the next president of the Federal Reserve created a wave of speculation in the forecast markets.

National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett, former Fed Governor Kevin Warsh, the current Fed Governor Christopher Waller and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent had swam as a competitor to lead the Central Bank.

In a comprehensive interview in the CNBC’s “Squawk Box”, Trump talked a lot about Hassett and Warsh, but as the Treasury secretary, Bessent, who enjoyed his current task, said that he had removed him without discussing.

“Very good, Tr Trump said, referring to Warsh. “Sometimes they are all very good, they do not do it very well until you put it there and then… I think a very good man. Kevin and Kevin, both Kevins are very good.”

Bets in the estimation market moved quickly after Trump’s interpretation, and gave Hassett and Warsh a chance of 35% called the next FED chair. The Waller, whom Trump did not mention in the interview, has a 15% probability of being a choice and his proportions decreased after the interview.

Hassett and Warsh defended lower interest rates. The current president Powell, which ended in May 2026, was often the target of Trump’s criticism of raising rates.

Fed Governor Adriana Kugler said on Friday, Trump is “a pleasant surprise”, he said. The Movement allows Trump to establish someone to the Fed Governors Board, and the candidate may move as the president when Powell’s term ends.

Powell’s former Economic Advisor Judy Shelton, Trump’s former Economy Consultant in his first period, was 6% of Powell’s chances of Kalshi. Former government official David Malpass, who served as the President of the World Bank Group between 2019-2023, is currently 4% in the estimation market.

Trump received 1% vote to lead the Fed Kalshi.
