AP Cabinet Clears Key Decisions on Jobs, Infrastructure and Investments

Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has taken many important decisions focusing on employment, infrastructure, agriculture, urban development and investments. The meeting, chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu at the Secretariat, lasted about three and a half hours and more than 20 agenda items were approved.

Among the important decisions, the Cabinet gave the green signal to revise the lease renewal and rental policies for municipal assets. It also approved proposed legislative changes to implement uniform mutation fees in urban local bodies in the state.

In administrative reforms, the Cabinet accepted the proposal to upgrade the post of Office Manager to Section Officer at the Advocates-on-Record office at AP Bhavan, New Delhi.

The government has approved administrative approval of ₹354 crore for civil works of the greenfield port project in Ramayapatnam. Additionally, the AP also approved a government guarantee that will enable Markfed to get a loan of ₹ 1,800 crore.

Amaravati was given administrative sanction of ₹1,208 crore by the Cabinet for multiple development works. It also approved the promotion of 385 police officers from the 2000 batch of the Special Protection Force to the rank of Chief Constable.

Additionally, the Cabinet decided to create 21 new positions in the Supreme Court and regional courts in order to strengthen the judicial infrastructure in the state.
