Palo Alto Networks CEO says the enterprise may not welcome agentic AI browsers
In a Thursday interview with Jim Cramer from CNBC, PALO ALTO NETWORKS CEO Nikesh Arara suggested that the business may not be comfortable with browsers operated by the agent Artificial Intelligence.
“I think they will not be allowed in businesses within 24 months unless there are located controls in agent browsers for identity information and corporate security.” He said.
As a consumer, ARORA announced that he liked the idea of a intermediary browser who can perform tasks such as aircraft ticket reservation, reservation, or calling Ubers. However, browsers will need “identity information” from users, and thus users “the ability and desire of the users to give them autonomy will become important.”
He predicted that many major technology companies have already spent billions of spectating impressive models and will begin to develop browsers. However, since companies will be careful against the autonomy of AI agents, the agent scanners “contradict the business”, he said.
ARORA talked about his company’s plans to purchase Cyberk, Israeli Identity Security Provider. The purchase is worth $ 25 billion and the cyber security company will be the biggest agreement ever made. He claimed that a significant majority of violations had occurred due to identity information theft. Compared to 15 or 20 years ago, ARORA suggested that more members of a company have an identity information to access privileged information – “crown jewels”, which means that employees need to be protected equally.
“[CyberArk] ARORA found a way through the lowest possible unauthorized input, lowest friction, lowest delay, to direct the crown jewels and to find a way to managing access to all users. “He said.
