Princess Beatrice and Eugenie urged to do 3 things to survive scandals | Royal | News

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have had a rocky start to 2026 thanks to the scandals surrounding their parents Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson. Both Andrew and Sarah are mentioned in the Epstein files; documents reveal how close they were to late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

While its presence in the Epstein files does not automatically indicate a crime, the files show that the divorced couple remained in contact with Epstein even after his initial conviction for child sex crimes. This includes meeting him while Beatrice and Eugenie are around.

The files also came before Andrew was arrested on suspicion of abuse of public office and released under investigation.

Although Beatrice (37) and Eugenie (35) are not responsible for the scandals surrounding their parents, it has affected them in many ways. This includes the fact that they are banned from attending certain events due to the negative attention they might generate.

Speaking to The Express, expert Nick Ede said princesses need to do three things to survive the backlash of the scandals surrounding their parents.

This is to remain “stable, dignified and quietly productive.”

Mr Ede said: “I don’t think they (Beatrice and Eugenie) should disappear completely from public life, but I do think they should avoid anything that might seem performative or engaging while the spotlight is intense on Andrew and Sarah.

“After all, the public tends to judge individuals based on how they behave over time, not just the family they come from.

“If they remain stable, dignified, and quietly productive, the conversation about them will gradually turn away from their parents and toward their own lives.”

It is currently unknown how much contact the princesses have with their parents.
