Firefighters tackle ‘significant’ factory fire blaze as 20 tonnes of tyres go up in smoke

Firefighters are struggling with a “important önemli fire in a factory after 20 tons of tires in Western Midlands.

After the West Midlands Fire Department (WMFS) was called on the stage around 10.40, there were more than 70 firefighters in the Great Bridge Street factory between Tipon and West Bromwich.

Seventeen fire motors were sent to the site with several expert sources. No loss was reported.

The fire warned public members to stay away from the region because it sent a thick smoke feather to the air. A social media user has released on X that about four miles away from Bilston away.

WMFS said the fire contains a single story unit of 100 mx 100 m. Police and ambulance service with the support of the fire has made good progress in overcoming the fire, he added. Firefighters are trying to prevent the spread of the fire and to include the fire.

There was a hydraulic air platform and a high -volume pump team next to a drone team.

Local inhabitants and enterprises were recommended to keep the doors and windows closed because there are large amounts of smoke in the region.

National Grid, Severn Trent, Environmental Agency and Sandwell Council representatives were also at the scene.

A West Midlands Firefighter:

“Great Bridge, Great Bridge, a factory fire, which they respond to the Great Bridge Street, we have 15 teams. Please avoid the area if possible.”
