Met Office issues rare 36-hour ‘danger to life’ amber weather warning | Weather | News

The Met Office has issued a new, rare, amber weather warning for rain. The new weather warning covers just one region, Cumbria, and will be in effect from 6am on Sunday 14 December until 6pm on Monday 15 December.

The national weather forecaster warned that “very heavy and persistent rainfall” in the region was expected to cause some flooding and transport disruptions.
