A major bomb threat forced an IndiGo flight operating on the Kuwait-Hyderabad route to make an emergency landing at Mumbai Airport on Tuesday. The threat was received via a detailed email sent to Hyderabad airport authorities. The plane made an emergency landing at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.
Authorities specifically assessed the threat and had the aircraft moved to an isolation area for a thorough inspection. All necessary precautions were taken immediately.

While security personnel and emergency response teams were present at the scene, the situation was closely monitored. Officials were yet to release information on the number of passengers and an official statement from IndiGo Airlines was awaited.
A day earlier, on Monday, a bomb threat was received at a private school in the Mira Road area of Thane district in Maharashtra, prompting a police call. The school office received an email around 6:30 a.m. stating that a bomb had been planted and was going to explode. It was later determined that the threat was a hoax.
