Fox Nation’s Evel Knievel show chronicles daredevil’s iconic motorcycle stunts

This summer, long-time fans and curious onlookers alike will be able to uncover the notoriety and inspiration behind the legend.

“Evel: America’s Daredevil” A brand new documentary airing exclusively on Fox Nation. Hosted by sportswriter Mike O’Hara, the program chronicles Knievel’s rise to stardom, starting from his childhood in Montana and working in the copper mines. From there, the show spotlights his historic motorcycle stunt career, including his infamous attempts to jump from the Caesars Palace fountains in Las Vegas and the Snake River Canyon in Idaho.

As shown in the special, Knievel mocked the idea that fear of his stunts would always hold him back. When a reporter once asked him if he expected to die during one of his otherworldly exploits, he replied: “I’m Evel Knievel, honey. I should be scared.”

This special episode features iconic interviews from Knievel’s heyday, expert analysis from Fox News personalities, television executives, and even exclusive commentary from the stuntman’s granddaughter, Krysten.

“Evel was the most recognizable man on two wheels,” comedian Adam Carolla said in the special.

Fox News host Jesse Watters highlighted Knievel’s ability to rally the nation around his jaw-dropping accomplishments and praised his persistence in trying new tricks despite frequent crashes and sustaining serious injuries.

“To attract the attention of the whole country with an absolutely ridiculous leap and often crash, but to do it over and over again, that’s resilience,” Watters said. “This is the American spirit. Fall down, get back up.”
