Andhra Pradesh Secretariat BC and OC Employees Association members called on the government to address the ilik injustice given to them in promotions due to the implementation of reservations ”.

The members met with the Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand on Friday evening after the general physical meeting of the association and presented a representation to this effect.

Under the leadership of M. Nagaraju, they referred to the brutal struggle of the entire Indian Equality Forum, and said that the association actively brought the problem to the BC, OC and minority employees because of the implementation of reservations in promotions.

They drew the attention of the Chief Secretary to the decision of the Supreme Court of Andhra Pradesh in 2018, and asked the government to review the injustice in the promotions within the EP Secretariat and to examine that the court case has continued.

The members of the Association said that although both Andhra Pradesh and Tahangana have applied to Telugu states, they solved the problem because the latter did not move on the first one.

They said to review the promotions given since 2014, and the Andhra Pradesh government appointed two committees – a Advisory Committee and a civil servant committee. Both panels confirmed significant injustice to promotions to BC, OC and minority employees thanks to their reports supported by statistics.

The members of the Association said that the Supreme Court has directed to appear personally, but the government has created another group of minister’s committee (GOM) and seeks an additional six -month extension from the court, which clearly reflects the attempt to delay the process. They said that more than 80 % of the EP secretary labor force represents BC, OC and minority segments, and that they were suitable for promotions on the basis of merit, causing disappointment among employees.

The members of the Association asked the government to review all the promotions given in accordance with the high court orders so far and to provide justice to the OC and minority employees who have been subjected to serious injustice before boiling displeasure among employees.
