Madonna stands with Iran protests against Supreme Leader Khamenei

Pop singer Madonna shared on Instagram on Friday that she stands with Iran as its people protest against Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

“As we enter the year of the Fire Horse, I can’t think of a more meaningful statement! As I reflect on my time in Morocco over the holidays, I think of all the people in Iran who are fighting a much-needed revolution and are ready to die for what they believe in,” the 67-year-old singer said. Shared in Instagram post.

Madonna’s comments come at a time when tensions between the United States and Iran are rising and the Iranian people are rising up against Khamenei’s brutal regime.

The protests stemmed from the Middle Eastern country’s economic crisis, which has become increasingly dire as Iran’s currency, the Rial, has fallen in value.

The regime cracked down on protesters harshly estimated state-sanctioned murders to be thousands. The US-based Human Rights Activists News Agency announced that 1,847 of the dead were protesters and 135 were members of the Iranian security forces. Other reports put the death toll at more than 3,000, Fox News Digital previously reported.

Meanwhile the Trump administration weighing military action To stop the slaughter of civilians. Iranian state television broadcasts a vile threat against the President Donald Trump Earlier this week, reference was made to the 47th president’s near-assassination in 2024 while on the campaign trail in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Regarding whether military action would be imminent, Trump maintained his neutrality and reiterated that he was monitoring the situation.

Madonna also revealed that she often takes her freedom for granted.

“We take many things for granted. Including me. The freedom to travel the world. To wear what I want to wear. To ride a horse in the desert. To speak freely and be silenced by punishment, torture and possibly death. To sing. To dance. To choose my own spiritual path, not someone else’s. Iranian women do not have this freedom. I stand with them. The Iranian people have not known freedom for centuries. I cannot claim to truly know the suffering, but my thoughts and prayers are with them. The people of Iran.”

“Now is the time. Stand tight! I am with Iran. Let their voices be heard,” he said.
