Will consult Centre on restarting London flight service stopped after Ahmedabad plane crash: Goa CM

Goa Prime Minister Pramod Sawant said on Monday, July 21, 2025, Gatwick in London will consult the Ministry of Civil Aviation for the restart of the Air India flight to Manohar International Airport, which was stopped following Ahmedabad aircraft accident on June 12th.

Mr. Sawant was talking in the parliament after trying to know when Bjp Mla Michael Lobo’s Air India flight service between Gatwick and Goa would continue.

The only flight that brought the goans from London to the state was the only flying, Lobo, Mr. Sawant, he added that he should intervene in the issue and take over the problem with Air India and the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

CM, “I will consult the Ministry of Civil Aviation and ensure that the flight will continue as early as possible.” He said.

During the discussion at the base of the house, Mr. Lobo also questioned whether there was feasibility for two airports in Goa, that is, Dabolim in the southern part of the state and the Manohar International Airport in Mopa in the North.

During the commissioning of Manohar International Airport, the new facility was assured that the new facility would bring more connections from places such as Abu Dhabi, Germany, Qatar and London, but this did not happen.
