Teenagers on social media before ban are still using it, data shows

Three months into Australia’s world-first youth social media ban, new data shows young Australians’ social media use is only declining modestly.
While TikTok, YouTube and Snapchat have all seen a decline in use by Australians aged 10-15, the majority of young people who used the social media platforms before the ban continued to use the services afterwards.
This is based on a new snapshot of the data provided cricket by parental monitoring company Qustodio. This adds to the first evidence of widespread circumvention of the government’s flagship technology policy.
