“The Sopranos” star Michael Imperioli gives his take on how characters on the popular series might be politically inclined.
In a recent interview IndependentThe 59-year-old actor admitted that, in his opinion, many of the characters in the HBO series, which ran for six seasons, “will probably be Trump supporters.”
“The series is about the American dream, especially from the eyes of immigrants,” he said. “I think if it were done today, that would be one of the biggest themes: the current climate in the United States and what is being done to immigrants.”
He continued: “The truth is that these characters are all immigrants, but I think in a strange way that a lot of them would probably be Trump supporters. So how do they reconcile those? When the Italians come and people forget about it or don’t want to see it – most of them had no papers.”
