Aussies deliver blunt verdict on Harry and Meghan’s Down Under verdict as 81 per cent say tour did not improve their opinion of Duke and Duchess

While Australians have made their judgments about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s tumultuous visit Down Under, the perception of the royal couple has been far from warm.
Prince Harry and Meghan were in Australia for a four-day tour visiting various parts of Melbourne and Sydney along with a large media crowd.
What Australians really think about the royal visit has been revealed with surprising results when Channel 7 Ray Morgan surveyed 1,767 adults about their thoughts on the couple.
While we know millions of Australian couples visit, 81 per cent of those surveyed said their visit did not improve their view of themselves.
As for those who did not believe the visit would help Prince Harry repair his relationship with his father, 87 percent answered “no” and only 13 percent answered “yes.”
Three-quarters (75 per cent) of those polled did not see a more positive side of Meghan, and 69 per cent said they did not believe the Sussexes were treated unfairly by the Royal Family.
When asked whether they would welcome Prince Harry or Meghan moving to Australia, 59 percent said “no.”
And 51 per cent said they did not think the Queen would approve of the trip “given Harry’s step back as a working royal”.

It was the couple’s first visit to Australia since stepping down as working royals in 2020.
They were flown in from their homes in the US last Tuesday and taken to the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.
Meghan visited a women’s shelter and guest-starred on an episode of MasterChef, while Harry went to a veterans’ art museum.
In Sydney, the couple sailed into the harbor with Invictus Australia veterans and visited Bondi Beach, speaking to survivors of the terror attack and meeting lifeguards.
They also watched the Waratahs play Moana Pacifica at Allianz Stadium before returning home.
