Google did not accept all the concerns of Watchdog, but has committed to lifting certain default search engine restrictions with Telcos and Android phone manufacturers.
“We are pleased to solve the concerns of ACC, which contains provisions that have not been in our commercial agreements for a while,” a Google spokesman said.
“Android device manufacturers are determined to prioritize scanners and to provide more flexibility to search applications, if they make innovation, compete with Apple and keep the costs low, protecting offers and features.”
