Bennett reaches 50
Brian Bennett made 50 off 43 balls.
He is the backbone of this innings and the Australians will be gearing up for a quick chase as they fail to pick up any wickets.
I don’t remember much of the last matches where Australia took one wicket in 15 overs.
More than 15 ZIM 1-125.
Bennett and Burl pass 50-run milestone
Bennett and Burl have seen their partnership go past 50 runs and are looking to continue taking the game to Australia.
You can understand why Bennett is rated as one of the game’s best young T20 batsmen as I don’t remember him giving the bowling a chance so far.

It looks like both men will pick up the tempo from here; If Australia can’t get a dot ball, they will be chasing a big total.
Zim 1-118 from 14 overs, Bennett on 45, Burl on 28.
Burl lashes out at Ellis
I doubt many Australians would have noticed Ryan Burl walking down the street, but Zimbabwe’s No 3 picked up where Marumani left off, taking every opportunity he could to recklessly kick the ball.
He hits a few boundaries to Ellis in the final over and doesn’t allow Bennett to use his normal style and have to go too wide.
Zimbabwean fans dance in the stands after every run; they love it.

Second wasted review
Inglis is shocked by calls for a review from behind the stumps.
On the last ball of the last over, he again asked Head for a review of a delivery left behind after the ball fell to the leg side.

It was wrong again and the ball did not touch the bat.
These two reviews were a waste. Australians better hope this doesn’t come back to bite them.
Zim 1-82 over 10.2.
Wise words from Hayden
Australian great Matthew Hayden had some words of wisdom for these Zimbabwe batsmen after their spectacular start.
Hayden said during commentary that Zimbabwe could not allow expectations to lead them into collapse and that they should aim to put Australia in a 160-run chase.

“Anything above that is bonus time,” Hayden said.
They are on the right track with 10 overs to go and Australia are yet to find a bowler who can trouble them.
Zim 1-79 over 9.5.

WICKET: Marumani is gone
Marcus Stoinis returned to the attack and Marnumani slotted the ball just past Josh Inglis.
All seemed to be going well but on the next ball he swung hard again and headed the ball towards Inglis, who happily caught it.

Stoinis, all smiles, broke that partnership and took Marumani to 35 all out.
Can Zimbabwe keep this up?
Zim 1-61 over 7.3.
Even Zampa got some stick
These Zimbabwean young guns are bludgeoning the Australian bowlers as if insulted that this nation is not booking regular matches against them.
They said before the match that they wanted to make a good show on this platform, and Bennett and Marumani more than delivered.
Zampa scored 10 runs from his first over.

Ellis asks questions
Australian quick Nathan Ellis was called into the attack after Zimbabwe’s superb start and gave up seven runs while also asking some tough questions from Marumani forcing him to bowl the ball and miss in two overs.
But the openers are opening.
Zim 0-47 from six overs, they now have a platform to build on.
There is pressure on Australia
The pressure was on for Travis Head and his bowlers as Zimbabwe cruised to 0-40 from five overs.
Kuhnemann scored the last over and the openers took some good catches before finding the boundary again.
Zim 0-40 over 5.1. Bennett is at 14 and Marumani is at 24.
