A Case Filed against Aniruddhacharya Alleging Derogatory Statements Regarding Women

A case was filed against spiritual orator Aniruddhacharya as a video clip of an incident in which he made some derogatory remarks about women went viral, creating widespread outrage on social media. In the clip that created a stir on social media a few months ago, he was seen making objectionable statements about 25-year-old women. It was announced that they were involved in more than one relationship.

However, immediately after the outrage, Aniruddhacharya issued an apology stating that he was misunderstood. According to him, he meant both genders and did not intend to devalue women. The apology made no difference either to the outrage among ordinary people or to the litigation that followed.

Meera Rathore, Agra district president of the All India Hindu Mahasabha, filed a case in the Chief Magistrate’s Court in Mathura against the guru for lack of action following her complaint to the police. The court ultimately decided to file a lawsuit, and a lawsuit was filed against the guru for making inappropriate and defamatory statements.

When the matter is brought to court on January 1, 2026, a legal process that will attract national and international attention will begin. The issue continues to generate debate about how influential people should be held accountable for statements that undermine harmony and the reputation of women.
