PM Modi arrives on day-long visit to Assam

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived here on a one-day visit to Assam to inaugurate an emergency landing facility (ELF) and launch projects worth ₹ 5,500 crore on Saturday, February 14, 2026.
The Chief Minister was received at Chabua airport by Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and senior officials of the State government.
Mr. Modi left for ELF via Moran Ring Road in Dibrugarh district in an IAF C-130 aircraft.
He will land at ELF and inaugurate the Rs 100-crore, 4.2 km facility, the first of its kind in the northeast, officials said.
Mr Modi is also scheduled to witness a 40-minute air show by the Indian Air Force (IAF) featuring fighter jets, transport planes and helicopters.
He will then depart from ELF to Guwahati via C-130 aircraft.
