Murder probe launched after death of pensioner allegedly assaulted at Charing Cross Hospital

Police launched a murder investigation after the death of a 85 -year -old man allegedly attacked by a hospital patient.

Andrew Farmer of Western London Ealing was injured on September 18 at the Charing Cross Hospital in Hammersmith.

He died a week later.

70 -year -old Anatoliy Podmazko, who has no fixed address, was accused of great physical damage.

Later on October 17, he will take place in Isleworth Crown Court.

Detective Inspector Kirsten Hadleigh, “Our thoughts are undoubtedly staying with Andrew’s family and friends in difficult times,” he said.

“We stay in close contact with Andrew’s loved ones and keep them up to date with the progress of our investigation.”
