Nvidia In a statement on Monday, the latest robotic chip module announced that Jetson Agx Thor was currently sold as a developer kit for $ 3,499.

The company calls the chip “robot brain”. Next month, the first Sit ship said last week and said that chips would allow customers to create robots.

After using the developer kit to prototype the robots of a company, the NVIDIA will sell Thor T5000 modules that can be installed on ready -made robots. If a company needs more than 1,000 Thor chips, the Nvidia will charge $ 2,999 per module.

CEO Jensen Huang said that Robotics has the largest growth opportunity other than artificial intelligence, which led to Nvidia’s total sales of more than three times in the last two years.

“We do not build robots, we do not build automobiles, but we activate the entire industry with our infrastructure computers and related software,” Nvidia’s Robotics and EDGE AI Vice President Deepu Tallla said. He said.

The Jetson Thor chips are based on a Blackwell graphics processor with chips for the existing technology and computer games used in Nvidia’s AI chips.

Nvidia said Jetson Thor chips were 7.5 times faster than their previous generations. Nvidia allows them to run productive AI models, including large language models and visual models that can interpret the world around them, which is necessary for humanoid robots. Jetson Thor chips are equipped with 128GB of memory required for Big AI models.

Companies including agility robotics, AmazonMeta Nvidia said Boston Dynamics used Jetson chips. Nvidia also invested in robot companies such as Field AI.

However, despite the fact that the robotic has started several new robot chips since 2014, it continues to be a small business for Nvidia, which constitutes approximately 1% of the company’s total income. But it grows rapidly.

NVIDIA recently combined business units to group automotive and robot sections to the same line. This unit reported 567 million dollars in three -month sales in May, which represented a 72% increase on an annual basis.

The company said Jetson Thor Chips can also be used especially from Chinese brands for self -going cars. Nvidia calls car chips Drive Agx and is similar to robotic chips, but they run an operating system called Drive OS set for automotive purposes.
