Missing fisherman’s body found near sunken boat off Bass Point, Shellharbour

After the fishing boat sank from the southern coast of NSW, a man’s body was found by local scuba divers.
Police said that a 45 -year -old fisherman who left Shellharbour Marina on Thursday was found dead under water, that local scuba divers came across a body and washing the fishing equipment around 11.30 on Friday.
The man, who contacted the authorities at 23:00 on Thursday, was found after a search by NSW, Marine Rescue NSW and Westpac helicopter, who saved Surf Life at 11:00.
His body healed near what was believed to be a sunken boat from Bass Point on the southern coast.
The police are believed to be a 45 -year -old fisherman, although the body is not yet defined.
A report will be prepared for Coroner’s information.
