Mum of teen found dead says “hug your children” in touching tribute | UK | News

The mother of a teenage girl found dead has published a heartbreaking tribute as she urged parents to “hug your children”. The mother of 15-year-old Cherish Bean was found dead while on holiday in Yorkshire with her 17-year-old boyfriend Ethan Slater, who said he would “never recover” from the death of his parents.
The couple, from Sheffield, were on a trip to Eden Holiday Park in Bridlington when they were found dead in the chalet on February 18. Officers from Humberside Police began investigating the tragic incident and suspect the couple died from carbon monoxide poisoning. Police have since arrested two men on suspicion of manslaughter by gross negligence.
Now paying tribute to young Cherish, her mother said she was a “perfect girl”.
The distraught mother posted a touching and heartfelt tribute, adding: “My daughter, my world, my love, my everything. My perfect daughter, my angel, has left this world and we are broken as a family. As a mother, I am broken and will never be the same again.”
“If you know me, I live and breathe my babies and we were away for a few nights making the best memories ever. We had the best life together and it was ripped out from under us. There are no words, I am shattered and I will never heal. Hug your kids tonight, you have no idea how lucky you are.”
“Ethan, bless you darling, he was a good boy with a good heart and I loved you like my own child. I’m hurt, please respect us as we grieve.”
His mother also remembered Ethan, adding: “Ethan was the most beautiful young man on the face of the earth. He was generous, loving, charming and kind. He helped everyone and was a strong family man. He took care of himself and loved his mother, stepfather, brother and sister.”
“There isn’t a single person who wouldn’t like him if he tried. His smile was contagious and he could light up any room he walked into. Ethan, you will always be remembered for the amazing young man you were and the person you were destined to be. You know how loved you are our son, rest well and keep the table warm for us there.”
“Cherish was the apple of Ethan’s eye. Everyone could see how touched they both were. She was beautiful, elegant, and made Ethan happy. We know you will keep each other young and safe. Take care of each other. Rest in peace.”
Ethan’s father added: “I’m a broken man without you, son. I will love you forever, son. You were taken from me too soon. I love you always.”
