Farmers in Kadam Ayacut Plant Paddy in 40,000 Acres

Adilabad: Farmers under the Kadam region under the waterproof (Ayacut) expressed happiness on heavy entrances to the Kadam Irrigation Project after the rains in the upstream areas. The project site is currently filled with water and irrigation officials have been releasing water to the left channel of KADAM since July 15th.

According to sources, Paddy Kadam was erected about 40,000 acres from 68,150 acres under Ayacut. It is expected to be raised with paddy more than 20,000 acres in the next 15 days.

The water from the left channel has been released since July 15 to irrigate areas under the Kadam Ayacut, including the Luxettipet latch of Mancherial Region. Paddy cultivation is especially high in the manias of Kadam, Jannaram, Dandepalli, Luxettipet and Hajipur in Adilabad region.

Irrigation officials said that they will continue to provide water to paddy fields for the next three months. They also stated that during the Rabi season, more than 15,000 acres of water were provided to Gudem beyond the estimated scope of Ayacut.

Inspector Engineer (Nirmmal Circle Facles) K. Ravinder, farmers in the last 15 days in the last 15 days, said that uninterrupted water supply for paddy crops, he said. He added that the water level in the Kadam irrigation project reached 696 feet compared to the entire level of 700 feet. The entrances are currently released in 800 Cusec, 700 Cusec are released to channels every day. The project is currently 4.699 TMC FT.

However, the real designed capacity of the project is 7.03 TMC FT, which has decreased due to siltation. The full storage capacity of the KADAM project is 7.6 TMC FT and is designed to irrigate 68,150 acres along 18 gates.

Rajeshwar, a farmer from Dandepalli Mandal, said that they have received enough water for paddy for this Kharif and expressed the hope that the water source would continue to harvest.
