Former Arsenal striker dies after ‘significant’ injury

Chichester City FC and former Arsenal striker Billy Vigar died after experiencing a “significant brain damage”.
The 21 -year -old Vigar and Worthing were injured in Isthmian League Premier Division in a match in Wingate and Finchley.
It is thought that the injury appeared when it collided with a concrete wall, but the club did not confirm it.
Vigar’s family said on Thursday that they are devastated by playing the sport he loves. “
The family, “last Saturday after a significant brain damage, Billy Vigar was put into an induced coma.” He said.
“On Tuesday, he needed an operation to help him with the chance of healing. Although he helped, the injury proved too much for him and passed away on Thursday morning.
“The answers to the original update show how much Billy is loved and thought in sports.”
Vigar was a graduate of Arsenal Academy and there was a magic in Derby County, Hastings United and Eastbourne.
Derby County said in a statement: “Derby County’deki all of Billy Vigar’ın deeply upset.
“Billy spent the second half of the 2022-23 season with the Academy with Arsenal and took part several times for the age of 21.
“Everyone’s thoughts in the club with this incredibly difficult time with his family and friends.”
Hastings spokesman said: “We have been devastated to learn how to pass Billy Vigar in Hastings United.
“We will always remember Billy’s time in Hastings United. Our thoughts with Billy’s family [and] Currently friends. “
Vigar made 32 matches for Eastbourne while borrowing Arsenal in 2023-24 season.
Eastbourne said: “[We] Former player was ruined to learn how to pass Billy Vigar.
“Both football and non -football club staff shock and deeply upset, and our thoughts with Billy’s family in this terrible time.”
Fa said in a statement, “In this incredibly difficult time, we send our condolences to his family, friends, loved ones and everyone.”
