Trump LIVE: Iran ‘on the run’ as President lashes out at ‘bully’ | World | News

Donald Trump has pointed to the King’s upcoming state visit to highlight the need for a £301 million ballroom at the White House.
The US President argued that this development was necessary to entertain large numbers of people while hosting foreign dignitaries and world leaders.
The 90,000-square-foot project, which saw the East Wing demolished last October, was subject to legal challenges seeking to halt construction.
He said: “This is a big dig. We are building a ballroom. Every president says, can we please have a ballroom, a room where a large number of people can attend?”
“So when someone comes in from the United Kingdom, including the King of France, the president of China, including the King Charles, they come over very soon so we can have a big room, because the White House is incredible, but it’s never been a ballroom.”
