Karnataka BJP objects to offering of Namaz at Bengaluru Airport

Karnataka BJP spokesperson Vijay Prasad criticized the prayers at Terminal 2 of the Bengaluru International Airport. In a post on X, Prasad asked if Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and cabinet minister Priyank Kharge also approved the same.
“How is this allowed at Terminal T2 of Bengaluru International Airport? Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Minister Priyank Kharge, do you approve of this?” Prasad said.
He also criticized the Congress government in Karnataka for objecting to the Sanchalan Road (march) organized by him. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sanghbut “such activities” in restricted public spaces are “ignored.”
“Did these people get prior permission to pray in a high-security airport area? Why does the government object to RSS performing Patha Sanchalana after taking necessary permission from the relevant authorities and turns a blind eye to such activities in restricted public space? Doesn’t this create a serious security concern in such a sensitive area?” Prasad said.
This comes a few days after Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge on November 3 questioned the transparency and accountability of the RSS. He wanted to know why the RSS was keeping its activities secret and how it could organize large-scale marches without being registered as an organisation.
Speaking to reporters, Kharge said, “I have no problem with the RSS as long as they get permission from the government to carry out their activities and register themselves as an organisation. Why are they so afraid of the laws and Constitution of India? Why are they so secretive? How can an unregistered organization march millions of people across the country? Why is the BJP so keen on the RSS disobeying the laws of the land?”
The Karnataka Minister also questioned the Enhanced Security Liaison (AGL) provided to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, implying that it is usually reserved for the Prime Minister and the Union Home and External Affairs Ministers.
