Perth grandmother will not appeal Japan drug smuggling conviction

Perth grandmother Donna Nelson has ended her fight against drug trafficking crime in Japan.

The former federal Greens candidate was arrested at Narita Airport in January 2023 with almost two kilos of methamphetamine hidden in her bag.

The court heard she was the victim of an online romance scam but had doubts about her lover’s intentions.
