Lionel Messi reveals his VERY ‘weird’ favourite alcoholic drink – with secret ingredient which ‘hits faster’ – as Argentinian star enjoys well-earned rest after leading Inter Miami to MLS Cup glory

He is arguably the best player to ever set foot on a football pitch, an attacker who has literally won everything, but how will Lionel Messi relax?
The Argentinian master, now 38, gave adoring fans a glimpse into his life away from the limelight in a rare interview this week.
Messi is enjoying a well-deserved winter rest after another grueling but once again hugely successful season.
The former Barcelona and PSG star helped Inter Miami qualify for their first MLS Cup, making two assists as the Florida-based club beat Vancouver Whitecaps in the final.
Hailing the occasion as a ‘beautiful and emotional’ moment, Messi celebrated with what is undoubtedly his favorite cold drink – and revealed this week that it was quite strange.
Speaking to Luzu TV, he said: ‘I like wine, but even if I don’t like it, I have the usual wine: wine with Sprite. So he hits fast, haha!’

Messi, who led Inter Miami to MLS Cup victory last season, is enjoying some well-deserved time off the field
The superstar explained that the blend is ideal for him, especially as it helps him relax under Miami’s scorching sun.
While Messi tries to balance his life at home with his wife Antonella (37) and their three children Thiago (13), Mateo (10) and Ciro (8) and the center of attention, he added that spending time alone is very important for his routine.
‘I’m weirder than shit,’ he joked. ‘I really like being alone. Having the three kids in the house running everywhere fills me up and I love a moment of solitude.
‘I’m very planned, if I organize the day a certain way and something happens, it changes everything for me.
‘Antonella can say a lot more than I can, it depends on my mood and a lot of things, silly little things.’
Messi is preparing for his sixth and almost certainly last World Cup with the Argentina national team, to be held this summer in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
The country enters the tournament as champion after Messi scored two goals to win the final against France in Qatar four years ago.
In an interview last month, he was reserved about the possibility of being included in the Argentina squad for this summer’s competition, but his inclusion is not in doubt barring an injury.

Messi, who will turn 39 towards the summer, said: ‘I hope I can be there. I said before that I would love to be there. Worst case scenario, I’ll watch it live there, but it will be special.
‘The World Cup is special for everyone, for every country, especially for us, because we live in a completely different way.
‘The truth is that we have outstanding players and we have been showing this for years; especially the desire and excitement since (Lionel) Scaloni took office.
‘It’s the mentality that everyone has. It’s a team full of winners with strong mentalities who want to win more, and that’s contagious. We see this in training and matches. You see them training and they are giving it their all.
‘We’re a great group that gets along very well, but in practice matches or some training sessions, if they have to go hard, they go hard. Everyone is doing their best and that is a great strength of this group and the national team.
‘Scaloni and his team built all this. The daily atmosphere comes from them.
‘New players continue to emerge; New faces keep coming, apart from those already there. When a group is like this, it’s easier for newcomers to adapt.
‘Argentina need to take advantage of this moment. ‘Winning the World Cup gives you confidence and relief to prepare for competitions in a different way.’
In its first match, Argentina was drawn in a group with Algeria, Austria and Jordan on 17 June.
