Jack Smith labeled a ‘TYRANT!’ by MAGA commentator after former special prosecutor blames Trump for Jan 6 in testimony
MAGA commentator Eric Daugherty labeled Jack Smith a “BULLY” after the former special counsel accused Donald Trump of “criminal” involvement in inciting the January 6 riot.
Smith was followed by Daugherty’s fiery comments 255 pages of testimony It appeared in Congress, delivered on December 17.
During his testimony, Smith said his team had “evidence beyond a reasonable doubt” that Trump sought to overturn the 2020 election results with the insurrection. However, when Trump took office for the second time, his investigation was stopped.

Daugherty, who is RightLine’s Chief Content Officer, was referring to a statement Smith made during his deposition.
But Smith, who is leading the 2022 investigation into Trump’s role in the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, said the president was actually allowed to say whatever he wanted about the election.
However, Smith’s warning was that Trump could not use false statements to prevent this situation. state from performing their regular functions.
“What President Trump did in this situation has no historical precedent,” Smith told Congress. “As we said in the indictment, he was free to say that he thought he won the election. He was even free to lie that he won the election.”
“But what he was not free to do was knowingly – knowingly make false statements about election fraud to violate Federal law and target a lawful government function,” he continued. “He wasn’t allowed to do that. That makes this case different from past history.”

Smith said his investigation was completely impartial and was actually based on evidence provided by members. Trump’s own party.
“We had a voter in Pennsylvania, a former member of Congress who would be President Trump’s voter, who said what they were trying to do was an attempt to overthrow the government and it was illegal,” he said. “Our cause is frankly built on Republicans who put their loyalty to country before party.”
Trump has not been criminally convicted of any involvement in the Jan. 6 attack, in which his supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol to prevent the certification of Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 election.
In one of the final acts of his first administration, Trump called on Mike Pence to derail Biden’s certification because the then-vice president was tasked with overseeing the transfer of power.

When Pence was ready to hand the election over to the winning candidate, Joe Biden, Trump unleashed his anger on X.
“Mike Pence did not have the courage to do what needed to be done to protect our Country and our Constitution by giving States a chance to certify the corrected facts, not the false or inaccurate ones they were previously asked to certify.” American Surveillance. “USA wants the truth!”
His supporters were then heard shouting, “Hang Mike Pence.” Policy. In his statement, Smith said Trump’s actions “endangered the life of his own Vice President.”
Since winning his second term in office, Trump has granted pardons or commutations to more than 1,500 people convicted or charged in connection with the riots.

“These people were destroyed,” Trump said at the time. “What they’re doing to these people is outrageous. Rarely has anything like this happened in the history of our country.”
