Speaking to Jam Press, 49-year-old Klapper said, “I spent approximately 120 hours in total to build the sculpture,” and explained the difficult process behind the installation he named Inside.
The structure was built inside the Rhein-Center shopping center and was initially intended to break the record for the largest beverage coaster construction ever built, Klapper said.
In the video, the girl can be seen carefully pulling the coaster from the tower before the entire structure falls down within seconds, prompting audible reactions from viewers.

But the collapse was not what it first seemed.
Klapper told Jam Press that the tower partially collapsed under its own weight shortly before completion, preventing it from officially qualifying for the record. As a result, it invited visitors to interact with the remaining structure.
“Each person took turns removing the beer mat until it fell off the structure,” Klapper said. he said. “The winner was the daughter of one of my assistants.”
“On his first try, he pulled out a horizontal one and brought down ‘Inside,'” he added.
The artist said the viral clip sparked a wide range of reactions online, with some viewers questioning the authenticity of the footage and others complaining about the demolition of the elaborate structure.

Speaking to Jam Press, Klapper said, “The footage of this rapid decline has garnered millions of views,” adding, “This is artificial intelligence!” “It’s a shame it didn’t work.”
Despite the dramatic collapse, Klapper said the structural failure meant the facility never officially qualified for the Guinness World Record.
current record It is in the hands of Sven Goebel, also from Germany, who built a 9-foot-6-inch tower made from 70,000 beer coasters in 2004.
Klapper, who runs the media company MuVi 3D GmbHHe said the project remains a personal turning point. He began building beer coaster structures as a child and continued to create large-scale facilities for decades.
“Slowly, the construction grew and grew,” he said. “I completed my first major project 33 years ago.”
