Conservative commentator Laura Loomer set off a new wave of speculation Saturday when she publicly suggested a possible move to Georgia after President Donald Trump withdrew his support for Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene in a striking late-night Truth Social post.

Loomer, a staunch Trump ally with nearly 1.8 million followers on X, shared that the president told her he wanted Greene to be “a priority” and then asked his audience a pointed question.

“Should I move to Georgia?” he asked.

Trump’s post, paired with Trump’s Truth Social message calling Greene a “crazy lunatic,” immediately triggered questions about whether Loomer was positioning herself as a potential challenger in Georgia’s 14th Congressional District.

Greene did not respond to Loomer’s posts.

Loomer and Greene have publicly attacked each other throughout the year, and their exchanges have increased sharply since the summer. In August, the two clashed over Loomer’s criticism of Medal of Honor recipient Florent Groberg, prompting a barrage of insults that lasted for days.

Saturday’s posts show Loomer revisiting and escalating these accusations. He called Greene “no friend of MAGA,” accused her of disloyalty since 2021, and brought up allegations of Greene’s political alliances in the 2022 midterms.

Many of Loomer’s follow-up posts on Saturday cited Greene’s popular support from Democrats, adding fuel to an already volatile public fight.

Trump’s public break with Greene in a lengthy statement late Friday wiped out one of the Georgia Republican’s most valuable political assets: the president’s personal support.

In his post, Trump claimed Greene was “tired of complaining,” had “turned left” politically, and said conservative voters in Georgia were already considering a primary challenge. He added that he would give his “Full and Uninterrupted Support” to the “right person” entering the race.

Trump did not name any potential rivals.

Although Loomer has not announced a campaign, the suggestion of a possible move to Georgia came within hours of Trump’s announcement, quickly fueling speculation online that he might test the waters.

If Loomer flips and enters the 2026 primary, it would pit two highly visible right-wing firebrands against each other in one of the nation’s most closely watched House districts.

Georgia’s 14th District remains deeply conservative, meaning the primary is often the deciding contest. A high-profile contest amplified by Trump’s public intervention would almost certainly attract national attention, campaign money and intense media attention.

For now, Loomer hasn’t made an official statement, just popping the question.
