British and Irish Lions 2025: Sheehan to captain against Australian side Western Force

Dan Sheehan from Ireland will cover the British and Irish lions against the Western Forces on Saturday in the opening matches on Australia.

Sheehan is one of the five players who will release Lions in the start series, Leinster teammate Garry Ringrose, James Lowe, Joe McCarthy and Josh Van Der Flier.

Four more lions were set to remove their first outlets from the counter – Ollie Chessum, Huw Jones, Andrew Porter and Will Stuart.

Northampton Tyro Henry Pollock will begin to leave the bench against Argentina last Friday night.

The head coach Andy Farrell is still without Jamison Gibson-Park and Hugo Keenan, both return from disability, so Elliot Daly is on the right back and Tomos Williams for a thin camera cell against Pumas in Dublin with a beginning in Nine Jersey.

Finn Russell also reveals his first release as a spare against South Africa four years ago.

Farrell is going with a new consecutive midfield combination in Ringrose and Scotland’s Sione Tuipulotu.

Tuipulotu and Tadhg Beirne, only two players chosen to start against Argentina and force, both positions, Scot from the inside to the outer center and the Irish lock to the blind Flanker.
