Chinese e-commerce platform AliExpress’ doormat with Lord Jagannath image sparks outrage; Odisha demands apology

As the Chinese e-commerce platform Aliexpress sold passpats containing the image of Lord Jagannath, a great debate exploded in Odisha.

The state’s Deputy Prime Minister Pravati Parida criticized the image of Lord Jagannath’s image on the mats and selling products as “attackers” and asked the company an apology.
