AP Aiming to Better BC, SC, ST Hostels: Minister Savita

Vijayawada: BC Welfare Minister S Savita claimed that the state government has worked brutally for the development of BC, SC and ST pensions and that the previous government “cleansed the dues left”.

Savita claimed that on Sunday, YSRC during the YSRC period was allocated for the welfare of the students living in hostels. He rejected YSRC’s claims to deteriorate social welfare hostels, challenging them to show any development of welfare hostels during his rules.

The Minister said that the current government has cleared 150 Crore payment accumulation to BC students. “We have also allocated funds for hostel repairs and facilities. The current government has released 25 Crore to build settlements in 13 crore and hostels for 18 crore and hostel maintenance for kitchen equipment.

“We have provided 1 Lakh blanket to BC hostel students and will soon deliver 2 more lakh.”

The Minister confirmed that the government led by the TD was dedicated to the development of the Rayalaseema region through wide investment in a total of 12,441 Crore irrigation and drinking water projects from 2014 to 2019.

He said that the coalition government has paid carefully diet invoices and cosmetic charges for the welfare of these students. “This government is allocating funds for BC Hostels, we urge our MLAs to contribute to their funds for more development.” He said.
